Bara......sushi and Indian sweets

I haven't blogged in such a long time.
There's nothing much happening in my life at the moment, apart from work, so I thought I'd blog about my dinner last night!

Has anyone ever been to Carlingford? I have two places I like to go to eat when I'm in 'Carlingford Village' (a centre for all things Asian), and since last night, I now have three places I like to go!

1. Hong Kong Cafe (They make a killer Assam tea, and it's relatively cheap as well)
2. The token Japanese restaurant which I now do not remember the name of...sorry
3. Last but not least, an Indian grocery store that sells yummy Indian sweets

Last night my Mum, Dad and I decided to go to the token Japanese restaurant. I ordered a dish called Bara....sushi. The reason for the dots in between Bara and sushi is because I don't actually remember the letters in between, however, I do know that the dish is a form of Bara Sushi. It was really tasty. It reminded me of a sushi bed. I also had 'Ramune', which was delicious as always.

Before I forget, I have to talk about the Indian grocery store. Last night, before dinner, I asked the lady at the Indian grocer "what's that?" (pointing at a round container), because I thought it was Glutinous rice balls. YUM YUM YUM... but I found out that the dessert was actually cheese balls. How delicious does that sound? Wait.. it gets better. Cheese balls in syrup!! Anyway, since my mum didn't want to eat cheese balls in syrup, we ended up buying a $2 bag of sesame balls. I think they are called Tal Na Ladoo. The sesame balls were great. Everyone felt really happy after eating one.

So I now conclude that, if you have some spare time, go to Carlingford Village and drink some Assam tea, eat some Bara...sushi, and eat some sesame balls or cheese balls, if you're up for it!
