Mandy's Third Post: Sleep...

So I’m way overdue for a post. This is due to my wacky sleeping patterns, the result of which is me falling asleep in my Perspectives on Law seminar, drifting about as a ghost-like waif, and delirium (though I’ve mostly managed to keep a lid on that). No sleep causes me to do weird things, like cackle insanely at dancing bunny rabbits on TV. Okay, anyone would laugh at that, sleep-deprived or no. But you get my point. Said irregular sleeping patterns are the result of having to have an EEG, as well as having two assignments due on Monday. But now I can relax for five seconds, before I start my assignment due next Friday.

My younger sister and I went to a local thrift store recently, and picked out some records. She wants to get a vinyl player, so of course I must get some nice old-school records. I got one of a few tenors, and then one of a bunch of war songs.

SISTER:
(handing me a record) What war is this?
ME: Why do you think I’d know?
SISTER: You know a lot of random stuff.
ME: Yeah, but not stuff that’s this random. It’s World War I, by the way – I recognise these songs.
SISTER:
You’re a freak.

We got a few video tapes as well – ‘Bump the Elephant’, ‘Beverly Hills Teens’ and ‘The Best of Bert and Ernie’s Sing-Along Songs’. We’re going completely old-school. My other sister won a ‘Super Ted’ DVD box set online, and she’s stoked. She’s probably going to want to marathon it when it arrives.

We also went and visited the local girl’s school’s Garden Fair. It was kinda sad – comparing this fair to my old high school’s Country Fair, the Garden Fair seemed to come out the clear winner. We ran into a clown and a fairy who knew my sister from primary school... which was not weird at all... Honestly, when we first saw the clown, both of us did a double take and swerved to avoid it. Then of course it had to call her over. Scary-ass clown. Usually clowns don’t scare me, but that one was really confronting.
